Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in sales, service, appearance, and operations at our Myrtle Beach area store. This role will lead the team when the manager is absent or on opposing shifts and will guide staff to deliver outstanding customer service to both retail and professional customers.

Qualifications

• Sales Specialist Training completed or in progress.
• Assistant Manager Certification completed or in progress.
• RSS Certification completed or in progress.

Responsibilities

• Lead store team to deliver excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise customer service levels on the showroom floor with program execution.
• Ensure staffing levels at the sales counter during peak hours and events.
• Assist in hiring tasks including recruiting, interviewing, and candidate evaluation.
• Manage phone inquiries per company policy and ensure accurate order processing.
• Oversee buy online/ship to store, transfers, and order arrivals communications.
• Coordinate outside purchases and special orders for timely handling.
• Process returns and exchanges efficiently with correct refunds and staging.
• Ensure merchandise invoicing, core charges, warranties, and security procedures are followed.
• Ensure team adherence to schedules and proper clock-in/out practices.
• Perform store opening/closing duties and secure money, deposits, and alarms.
• Assist in maintaining store building, lot, signage, equipment, and delivery vehicles.
