Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in sales, customer service, store appearance and operations. This role will manage the store during absences and opposing shifts, leading the team to service customers effectively.

Responsibilities

• Lead the store team in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise the customer service levels on the retail showroom and ensure team execution of service programs.
• Work with the store manager to ensure adequate staffing during peak hours.
• Assist in setting team member goals, coaching, and ensuring ongoing training.
• Assist in the hiring process by recruiting, interviewing, and selecting qualified team members.
• Ensure all calls are answered per company policy.
• Process buy online/ship to store, hub and store-to-store transfers, and DC add orders promptly and notify customers on shipment arrivals.
• Ensure returns and exchanges are processed efficiently and refunds issued correctly.
• Invoicing of merchandise including core charges and warranties before product leaves the store.
• Communicate Zipline messages and delegate merchandising tasks.
• Ensure adherence to posted schedules and proper clock-in/out by team members.
• Perform opening/closing duties, money handling, deposits, and securing the store.
• Maintain store building, signage/lighting, equipment, and delivery vehicles.
• All other duties as assigned.
