Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in store areas helpful.
• Demonstrated communication and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to analyze financial and statistical information for decisions.
• Commitment to safety and training.

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers and team members.
• Staffing, selection and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Promote career paths and development; participate in promotion decisions.
• Apply disciplinary actions and make discharge recommendations as needed.
• Responsible for P&L, achieving sales, and maintaining shrink for the department.
• Model exceptional, fast, and friendly customer service.
• Communicate the Meijer Friendly Initiative in team meetings and conversations.
• Mentor team to exceed customer service and sales goals and adhere to Meijer standards.
• Ensure staff are trained and complete required certifications.
• Spend most time in-store engaging with customers and teammates.
• Maintain a safe work environment and reliable attendance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
