Job summary

Lidl US is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in developing and coaching the store team and delivering Lidl’s renowned low-price, high-quality shopping experience. You will lead with a proactive style, manage daily operations, and work across tasks to drive performance and employee development.

You will participate in physical store operations, ensure safety, and contribute to a best-in-class customer experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 21 years of age or older.
• 1–2 years of management experience OR a bachelor’s degree.
• Determination to complete every to-do list on time and hit store targets.
• Experience in leading and developing a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent customer service skills, including de-escalation of tense situations.
• Willingness to participate in physical operations daily (stocking, cleaning, ringing).
• Ability to lift or slide product over 50 pounds and reach above head height.
• ServSafe certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate the team to reach their full potential daily.
• Provide excellent customer service and be the main contact for customer needs.
• Monitor and improve store KPIs continuously.
• Lead weekly promotions and merchandising projects.
• Provide hands‑on support for cash handling, stock, and store cleanliness.
• Maintain a safe, productive work environment per policy and law.
