Job summary

Lidl US in Paramus, NJ is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in coaching the store team and delivering Lidl's low-price, high-quality shopping experience.

You will lead the team to achieve targets, deliver excellent customer service, oversee KPIs, support merchandising, and manage daily operations including cash, stock, cleaning, and safety. ServSafe certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• 21 years or older
• 1–2 years of management experience OR a bachelor’s degree
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
• Able to reach above head height
• Commitment to completing tasks on time and hitting targets
• Experience leading a team in fast-paced environments
• Strong customer service and de-escalation skills
• ServSafe certification preferred before or on entry

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate the team to reach full potential daily
• Provide excellent customer service and be the go-to for customer needs
• Monitor and drive store KPIs
• Lead weekly promos and re-merchandising projects
• Support cash handling, stock, cleaning, and other store tasks
