Job summary

Lidl US is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in developing the store team and delivering a high-quality shopping experience. This role requires proactive leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and hands-on participation in store operations to meet performance targets.

You will lead customer service excellence, drive store KPIs, and manage weekly promotions while ensuring safety and compliance. A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent management experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience leading and developing a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to de-escalate tense situations.
• Willingness to participate in physical store operations (stocking, cleaning, ringing).
• Readiness to lift up to 50 pounds and reach above head heights.
• ServSafe certification preferred or obtainable.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate the team to reach their full potential daily.
• Provide excellent customer service and be the front-line contact for customer needs.
• Monitor and drive improvements to store KPIs.
• Lead weekly promotional sets and routine re-merchandising projects.
• Support all operational tasks including cash handling, stock, cleaning, and safety compliance.
• Maintain a safe, productive work environment in line with policies.
