Job summary

Wild Fork Foods is seeking a hands-on Team Leader to guide daily store operations, coach Sales Associates, and deliver the brand’s personal chef and friendly butcher experience. You will lead during shifts, ensure readiness and cleanliness, and uphold service standards while supporting onboarding and product knowledge training.

The role emphasizes customer-focused leadership, team development, and executing operational routines to meet daily sales targets in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in retail, grocery, restaurant, or specialty food.
• Demonstrated leadership ability or prior key-holder experience preferred.
• Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to coach, motivate, and model the behaviors expected of the team.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs. and stand/walk for 8–10 hours, including freezer exposure.
• Flexible availability (mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays).
• Familiarity with POS systems, scheduling tools, or Microsoft 365 is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the store during assigned shifts, ensuring customer readiness, cleanliness, and proper coverage.
• Execute opening and closing routines as directed by the Store Manager.
• Maintain temperature logs, food safety standards, sanitation routines, and freezer management.
• Ensure accurate cash handling and adherence to SOPs.
• Identify operational gaps and elevate appropriately.
• Model and teach Wild Fork’s W.I.L.D Steps of Service and deliver a warm, engaged customer experience.
• Motivate the team to engage customers, build baskets, and drive conversion.
• Reinforce product knowledge and selling behaviors through on-the-spot coaching.
