Job summary

Wild Fork is seeking a Store Team Lead to drive daily store operations and deliver the company’s service philosophy of personal chef and friendly butcher. You will lead the team on shifts, coach associates, and ensure readiness, cleanliness, and a warm customer experience.

You will oversee opening/closing routines, food safety compliance, and accurate cash handling while promoting a high-energy, customer-first environment that supports meeting daily sales targets and strong execution.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in retail, grocery, restaurant, or specialty food.
• Demonstrated leadership ability or prior key-holder experience preferred.
• Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to coach, motivate, and model the behaviors expected of the team.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs. and stand/walk for 8–10 hours, including freezer exposure.

Responsibilities

• Lead the store during assigned shifts, ensuring customer readiness, cleanliness, and proper coverage.
• Execute opening and closing routines as directed by the Store Manager.
• Maintain accurate temperature logs, food safety standards, sanitation routines, and freezer management.
• Ensure accurate cash handling and adherence to SOPs.
• Identify operational gaps and elevate appropriately.
• Provide on-the-job training and coaching to associates, and communicate performance opportunities to the Store Manager.
• Support inventory, merchandising, and in-stocks execution to maintain an easy-to-shop store.
