Job summary

Wild Fork Foods is seeking a Store Team Lead to carry out the Store Manager's vision on the sales floor. You will lead shifts, coach sales associates, and ensure a welcoming, customer-focused environment aligned with our personal chef and friendly butcher service philosophy.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, execution excellence, and ongoing training to develop the team while maintaining food safety, inventory and store standards. Competitive hourly pay plus a monthly bonus is offered.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in retail, grocery, restaurant, or specialty food.
• Demonstrated leadership ability or prior key-holder experience preferred.
• Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to coach, motivate, and model the behaviors expected of the team.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs. and stand/walk for 8-10 hours, including freezer exposure.
• Flexible availability (mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays).
• Familiarity with POS systems, scheduling tools, or Microsoft 365 is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the store during assigned shifts, ensuring customer readiness, cleanliness, and proper coverage.
• Execute opening and closing routines per Store Manager.
• Maintain temperature logs, food safety, sanitation, and freezer management.
• Ensure accurate cash handling and SOP adherence.
• Identify operational gaps and elevate accordingly.
• Monitor traffic and adjust priorities and coverage.
• Model and teach Wild Fork’s W.I.L.D Steps of Service.
• Deliver a warm, personal chef and friendly butcher experience.
• Support service recovery with empathy and speed.
• Ensure customers feel welcomed, valued and inspired to return.
