Job summary

Wild Fork Foods is seeking a Team Leader to translate the Store Manager’s vision into day-to-day action on the sales floor. You will lead assigned shifts, coach SalesAssociates, and ensure a warm, customer-friendly environment aligned with our personal chef and friendly butcher service philosophy.

You’ll guide onboarding, training, and daily routines, delivering strong team performance, product knowledge, and execution.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in retail, grocery, restaurant, or specialty food.
• Demonstrated leadership ability or prior key-holder experience.
• Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to coach, motivate, and model the behaviors expected of the team.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs and stand/walk for 8–10 hours, including freezer exposure.
• Flexible availability (mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays).
• Familiarity with POS systems, scheduling tools, or Microsoft 365 is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the store during assigned shifts, ensuring customer readiness, cleanliness, and proper coverage.
• Execute opening and closing routines as directed by the Store Manager.
• Maintain accurate temperature logs, food safety standards, sanitation routines, and freezer management.
• Ensure accurate cash handling and adherence to SOPs.
• Identify operational gaps and elevate appropriately.
• Monitors business needs throughout the shift and adjust priorities, floor coverage, and team focus based on traffic patterns, service demands and sales opportunities.
