Job summary

Five Below Inc. is seeking a capable Store Manager on Duty to lead daily operations, ensure top-notch customer service, and manage staff during shifts. Responsibilities include opening/closing duties, cash handling, and maintaining store standards.

The role requires at least 1 year of management experience, strong communication, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced retail environment. Flexible scheduling and travel as needed are noted.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• College experience preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of management experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensures crew members wow the customer through personal contact.
• Trains the crew on the BEST customer service experience; ensuring that each guest has a fast, friendly check out experience.
• Oversee the daily activities of store associates, ensuring they perform duties effectively and provide excellent customer service.
• Assist with receiving, unpacking, and organizing new stock for quick placement on sales floor.
• Act as Manager on Duty when needed, taking responsibility for store operations, staff management, and customer service.
• Manage opening or closing the store, including cash, locks, alarms, and daily readiness.
• Support onboarding and ongoing training of associates on store policies and product knowledge.
• Drive store sales and control expenses by optimizing merchandising and staff performance.
• Partner with store leadership on merchandising procedures and World Recovery.
• Perform store maintenance including trash, cleaning, and stock room upkeep.
