Job summary

Five Below in Massachusetts is seeking an energetic leader to join our store team as a Manager on Duty. You will oversee daily operations, coach crew on the BEST customer service experience, and ensure a fast, friendly checkout for every guest.

You’ll help open/close the store, manage schedules, stock, merchandising, and safety procedures while driving sales and controlling expenses. Evening and weekend availability, 18+ and strong communication are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year of management experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and stay composed under pressure.
• Creative thinking and strong customer focus.

Responsibilities

• Wows the customer through personal contact and fast, friendly checkout.
• Oversee daily activities of store associates and ensure service standards.
• Assist with receiving, unpacking, and stocking on the sales floor.
• Act as Manager on Duty and handle store operations and staff issues.
• Open or close the store, secure cash, and maintain alarms.
• Support onboarding and ongoing training of associates.
• Drive sales and manage expenses through merchandising and staff performance.
• Coordinate with leadership on merchandising procedures and recoveries.
• Perform general store maintenance including housekeeping.
