Job summary

Burlington Stores, Inc. in Massachusetts is hiring a Shortage Control Associate to help maintain a secure shopping environment while delivering excellent customer service.

You’ll monitor entrances, exits, and high-risk areas, greet customers warmly, and support store leadership in theft prevention. With at least 1 year in customer service or retail, you’ll train associates on shortage-reduction programs, report incidents to the Manager on Duty, and help uphold safety standards during all shifts,

Qualifications

1+ years of experience in customer service, retail, or loss prevention.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and monitor store environment.
Strong communication and leadership skills for teamwork.
Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Maintain confidentiality and disciplined decision making.

Responsibilities

Monitor front of store and assist with theft prevention.
Greet customers with a warm smile and friendly greeting.
Conduct bag and package checks on associates per policy.
Report theft incidents to Manager on Duty and document observations.
Train associates on shortage reduction programs and safety procedures.
