Job summary

Burlington Stores, Inc. seeks a Shortage Control Associate to help maintain a secure shopping environment while delivering friendly customer service.

You will monitor entrances and high-risk areas, greet customers, and support loss prevention initiatives to reduce theft and maintain store safety. The role requires 1+ year of customer service/retail experience, the ability to stand for long periods, and flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, or Operations is preferred.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time and to visually monitor store environment.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality is required.
• Ability to review, analyze and comprehend business trends.
• Ability to exhibit a positive demeanor, strong posture, and energetic greeting.

Responsibilities

• Greet every customer entering or exiting the store with a warm smile and a loud, friendly greeting, promoting a sense of control and security.
• Create a secure environment and reduce opportunities for theft.
• Identify and report theft incidents and/or suspicious subject(s) to the Manager on Duty.
