Job summary

Burlington Stores is seeking a Shortage Control Associate to help maintain a secure shopping environment while delivering strong customer service. You will operate at store entrances, exits, and high-risk areas to deter theft and support safety programs.

You will greet customers confidently and interact with associates to uphold Burlington's standards. The role emphasizes knowledge of theft trends, reporting incidents promptly, and assisting in training of staff on shortage reduction.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, or Operations.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and monitor the store environment.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and to work in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Monitor store entrances, exits, and high-risk areas to reduce theft opportunities.
• Greet customers with a warm, confident, and energetic greeting.
• Identify and report theft incidents or suspicious activity to the Manager on Duty.
• Support training of associates on shortage reduction programs and safety practices.
