Job summary

Burlington Stores, Inc. is seeking a Shortage Control Associate to help create a secure shopping environment while delivering excellent customer service.

You will monitor entrances, greet customers, and report suspicious activity to management, all while upholding safety standards and participating in shortage-reduction programs. The role values a confident, friendly demeanor, ability to work in a fast-paced setting, and a willingness to train others on loss-prevention best practices.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, or Operations is preferred.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time and to monitor the store environment.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor store entrances, exits, and high-risk areas to reduce theft and maintain security.
• Greet every customer with a warm, energetic greeting and eye contact.
• Identify and report theft incidents or suspicious activity to the Manager on Duty.
• Assist in training associates on shortage reduction programs and safety practices.
