Job summary

Burlington Stores, Inc. is seeking a Shortage Control Associate to help maintain a secure shopping environment and deliver exceptional customer service.

You will stand at store entrances, greet customers, and monitor for theft, while applying shortage reduction programs and reporting suspicious activity to leadership. Ideal candidates will have 1+ years in customer service or asset protection, a confident demeanor, and the ability to work in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, or Operations is preferred.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time and monitor the store environment.
• Excellent communication with customers and co-workers.
• Positive demeanor, strong posture, and energetic greeting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a professional appearance and greet every customer entering or exiting the store.
• Monitor entrances/exits and high‑risk areas to reduce theft opportunities.
• Identify and report theft incidents or suspicious activity to the Manager on Duty.
• Assist in training associates on shortage reduction programs.
