Job summary

Walgreens in Elgin, IL is seeking a Store Associate/Sr. Key Holder to support daily operations and customer care. You will open and close the store in the absence of management, handle cash and refunds, and assist with vendor deliveries while maintaining stock and compliance.

You will contribute to a friendly, efficient shopping experience by greeting customers, answering questions, and helping with pricing and displays. Prior leadership in retail is preferred.

Qualifications

• One year of leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder experience.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store in the absence of management.
• Process returns, refunds, and cash handling according to policy.
• Assist with vendor deliveries and backdoor access for deliveries.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and pricing signage on the floor and in the stockroom.
• Deliver a distinctive customer experience and resolve issues promptly.
• Support store operations including books, registers, and basic maintenance.
• Assist at the pharmacy window as requested.
