Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a store associate in Chesapeake, VA to open and close the store when management is absent, manage cash and refunds, and deliver a high-quality customer experience. You will assist with inventory, pricing, and displays, while supporting backroom and vendor processes as needed.

Candidates should have at least one year of leadership or retail experience, be fluent in English, and ideally possess PTCB certification or a pharmacy license.

Qualifications

• One year of leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder experience.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Prefer knowledge of store inventory control.
• Obtains and maintains valid PTCB certification or pharmacy license as required by state.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store in the absence of management, including required start-ups and cash handling.
• Complete product returns, refunds, and cash drops to safes; provide change as requested.
• Model and deliver a distinctive customer experience.
• Assist with vendor deliveries and backroom access as needed.
• Maintain accurate cash register records, pricing, and shelf signage.
• Support inventory counts, displays, and stock rotations to ensure compliance.
