Job summary

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 2+ years of related experience, with a focus on customer service, teamwork, and safety. Reporting to the Store Director, this position is full-time in Iowa.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two or more years of related work experience preferred.
• Retail leadership and customer service experience valued.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers with a smile and provide prompt, friendly service.
• Lead by example, maintain positive employee relations and teamwork.
• Plan and adjust work schedules; assign duties and follow up on tasks.
• Supervise store activities across departments and cover during absences.
• Address customer issues promptly and professionally.
• Train staff on policies, procedures and safety guidelines.
• Evaluate performance and consider promotions, transfers or disciplinary actions.
• Ensure safety procedures are followed and manage incident reporting.
• Oversee merchandise orders, deliveries, quality and stock levels.
• Review sales, inventory reports and display projections.
• Handle cash registers and standard transactions with discretion.
• Adhere to Hy-Vee policies and store guidelines.
