Hy-Vee, Inc. is seeking a Service Manager to supervise and coordinate activities of employees across all departments. You will keep the store running smoothly, manage schedules, handle customer issues, oversee merchandising and compliance, and step in wherever needed to maintain exceptional service.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent experience required.
• Two or more years of similar or related work experience preferred.

Aufgaben

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service by greeting customers with a smile, learning their names, and making every visit a great one.
• Lead by example and maintain positive employee relations, creating an atmosphere of friendliness, teamwork, and accountability.
• Plan, prepare, and adjust work schedules, assign employees to duties, and ensure tasks are completed properly and on time.
• Supervise and coordinate activities of employees across all areas of the store in the Department Manager’s absence, or perform the work at all levels.
• Ensure proper customer service throughout the store and address issues promptly and professionally.
• Train workers in store policies and procedures and provide ongoing education on updated policies.
• Evaluate employee performance and recommend promotions/transfers/dismissals.
• Train and enforce safety procedures; complete accident forms and injury reports as needed.
• Order merchandise, verify deliveries, report discrepancies, and manage displays.
• Compile and interpret managerial data such as sales and inventory reports.
