Hy-Vee, Inc. is seeking a Service Manager to keep store operations smooth, supervise staff, and ensure excellent customer service. You will lead by example, manage schedules, handle issues, and oversee merchandising and compliance across all departments.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 2+ years of related experience; strong people skills and a focus on safety and process improvements are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent experience required.
• Two or more years of similar or related work experience preferred.
• Experience with cash registers/POS transactions is beneficial.
• Ability to supervise and coordinate store activities and payroll basics.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service and greet customers by name.
• Lead by example and maintain positive employee relations.
• Plan and adjust work schedules; assign duties; ensure timely completion.
• Supervise activities across all store areas in the absence of the Department Manager.
• Address customer issues promptly and professionally to ensure satisfaction.
• Train workers on store policies and procedures; provide ongoing education.
• Evaluate employee performance and recommend promotions/transfers/dismissals.
• Enforce safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment.
