Job summary

The Michaels Companies in Burlington, VT is seeking a Sales Manager to lead a high-performing selling culture, drive sales results, and deliver an engaging customer experience across front-end and service operations.

You will coach teams to uphold SOPs, policies and brand standards, manage POS and Self-Checkout, and coordinate campaigns from balloons to loyalty programs, BOPIS, and Same Day Delivery; strong leadership and customer-focus required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.
• Ability to lead front-end and service operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage adherence to SOPs and Company programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and requirements.
• Ensure execution of Company policies and standards, holding team accountable for store conditions and results.
• Coach for best-in-class Customer Experience and ART of Selling behaviours, driving conversion and customer satisfaction.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage, maintaining floor leadership, service standards, and operational continuity.
• Ensure accurate and efficient use of POS and Self-Checkout systems, supporting smooth transactions and customer support.
• Oversee key in-store programs (Balloons, Loyalty Rewards, Knit & Sew Shop, and related services).
• Drive omni-channel services (BOPIS and Same Day Delivery) and coordinate with frame shop where applicable.
• Train, coach, and develop team members through structured onboarding and ongoing skill-building.
