Job summary

The Michaels Companies is seeking a Sales Manager in Braintree to lead a high-performing store team and drive sales excellence. You will champion a customer-focused selling culture, oversee front-end and service operations, and ensure adherence to SOPs and brand standards across daily activities.

You will coach staff to deliver exceptional customer experiences, manage POS operations, and support omnichannel processes such as BOPIS and Same Day Delivery.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading and managing adherence to SOPs and company programs.
• Ensure execution of policies and standards, holding team accountable for store conditions and results.
• Coach and model Customer Experience and ART of Selling behaviors to drive conversion and satisfaction.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty (MOD) coverage and maintain floor leadership, service standards, and continuity.
• Oversee POS and Self-Checkout operations to support smooth transactions and customer support.
• Oversee in-store programs and events (Balloons, birthday parties, loyalty enrollment).
• Drive omni-channel service with BOPIS and Same Day Delivery.
• Train, coach, and develop team through onboarding and ongoing skill-building.
