Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. is seeking a Sales Manager at the Evergreen Park, IL store to lead and champion a high-performing selling culture across the store, driving strong sales and an engaging customer experience.

You will oversee front-end and service operations, coaching teams to consistently follow SOPs, brand standards and operational expectations. The role includes MOD coverage, POS accuracy, and driving loyalty program adoption.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.
• Ability to lead front-end and service operations.
• Ability to work nights, weekends and early mornings.

Responsibilities

• Lead and champion a high-performing selling culture across the store, driving sales results and a strong customer experience.
• Oversee front-end and service operations, ensuring consistent execution of selling behaviors, brand standards and SOPs.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage, maintain floor leadership, service standards, and operational continuity.
• Drive omni-channel service including BOPIS and Same Day Delivery to ensure timely order fulfillment.
• Train, coach and develop team members through structured onboarding and ongoing skill-building.
• Promote and enroll customers in Loyalty Rewards and MCC/Extend protection plans.
• Oversee programs like Knit & Sew Shop and Custom Framing operations where applicable.
