Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. is seeking a Sales Manager at the CHI-MCHENRY, IL store to lead a high-performing selling culture, drive sales results and deliver an engaging customer experience.

You will oversee front-end and service operations, coach associates, ensure SOPs and brand standards, manage MOD coverage, POS and Self-Checkout, and drive omni-channel services including BOPIS and Same Day Delivery.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.
• Proven ability to coach and develop teams.
• Strong focus on customer experience and selling behaviors.

Responsibilities

• Lead and model selling behaviors to drive conversion and customer satisfaction.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty (MOD) coverage and floor leadership.
• Oversee front-end and service operations, ensuring SOPs and brand standards are followed.
• Manage POS and Self-Checkout operations for smooth transactions.
• Drive omni-channel services including BOPIS and Same Day Delivery.
• Oversee in-store programs such as Loyalty Rewards and protection plan awareness.
