Job summary

The Michaels Companies in Illinois is seeking a Sales Manager to lead a high-performing store team, drive sales, and deliver exceptional customer experiences. You will oversee front-end operations, coaching, and adherence to SOPs while ensuring brand standards and operational excellence.

Responsibilities include managing POS/self-checkout, driving loyalty programs, and supporting omni-channel services such as BOPIS and Same Day Delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years retail leadership experience.
• Experience in achieving sales and KPI targets.
• Strong customer service and coaching skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading SOPs and company programs.
• Model and coach Customer Experience and selling behaviors.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage and floor leadership.
• Ensure accurate POS and Self-Checkout operations.
• Drive loyalty program adoption and in-store events.
• Lead omni-channel services including BOPIS and Same Day Delivery.
• Oversee balloons, framing, and Knit & Sew Shop services.
