Job summary

Michaels in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a Sales Manager to lead a high-performing selling culture, drive strong sales results, and deliver an engaging customer experience across front-end and service operations.

You will coach staff, manage SOPs, protect asset safety, and ensure smooth omni-channel execution from POS to BOPIS, while aligning with brand standards and KPI goals. Experience in retail leadership and a customer-first mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.
• Ability to lead front-end and service operations and coach staff.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and early mornings.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading and managing adherence to SOPs and Company programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and requirements.
• Ensure execution of Company policies and standards, holding team accountable for store conditions and results.
• Model and coach Customer Experience and ART of Selling behaviors, driving conversion and customer satisfaction.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty (MOD) coverage, maintaining floor leadership, service standards, and operational continuity.
• Ensure accurate and efficient use of POS and Self-Checkout systems, supporting smooth transactions and customer support.
• Oversee in-store programs and events, including balloons, birthday parties, and loyalty enrollment.
• Champion protection plans and extended services, ensuring customer adoption.
• Drive sales and operational excellence in knit & sew shop and Cut Bar experience.
• Ensure efficient execution of BOPIS and Same Day Delivery, delivering timely order fulfillment.
