Job summary

The Michaels Companies is seeking a Sales Manager to lead a high-performing selling culture across the store, driving strong sales results and an engaging customer experience. This role oversees front-end and service operations, ensuring brand standards and SOPs are followed to achieve key sales and service KPIs.

You will provide Manager-on-Duty coverage, coach team members, and partner with departments to execute in-store programs, loyalty initiatives, and omni-channel services.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25-50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage front-end operations and service standards to drive sales and customer satisfaction.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage and maintain floor leadership and operational continuity.
• Train, coach, and develop store team members through onboarding and ongoing skill-building.
• Partner with departments to execute in-store programs, omnichannel services, and loyalty initiatives.
• Oversee special in-store programs (balloons, Knit & Sew Shop, BOPIS, Same Day Delivery) and drive protection plan adoption.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs and company policies, asset protection, and accurate POS/self-checkout usage.
• Support Custom Framing operations in select shops and coordinate with the frame shop.
