Job summary

The Michaels Companies, Inc. is seeking a Sales Manager in Michigan to lead a high-performing team and deliver an engaging customer experience across front-end and service operations.

You will coach staff to meet brand standards, drive selling behaviors, and execute SOPs to achieve sales and service KPIs. You will ensure accurate POS usage, support omnichannel fulfillment, and oversee in-store programs like Loyalty, Balloons, and event operations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and champion selling culture and customer experience across the store.
• Ensure front-end and service operations align with brand standards and SOPs.
• Coach and develop team members through structured onboarding and ongoing skills training.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage and maintain floor leadership and service standards.
• Oversee POS, Self-Checkout, and omnichannel order fulfillment (BOPIS, Same Day Delivery).
• Support in-store programs (Balloons, Loyalty, Protect plans) and special events.
