Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. is seeking a Sales Manager in Hillside, IL to lead a high-performing selling culture across the store, ensuring exceptional customer experiences and strong KPI performance.

You will supervise front-end and service operations, coach a team, and drive omni-channel initiatives including BOPIS and Same Day Delivery. This role requires leadership experience and a commitment to brand standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.
• Experience leading front-end and service operations.
• Ability to coach and develop team members.

Responsibilities

• Lead and champion a high-performing selling culture across the store.
• Oversee front-end and service operations to ensure brand standards.
• Drive sales and service KPIs through coaching and execution.
• Provide MOD coverage and maintain floor leadership during shifts.
• Ensure accurate POS and Self-Checkout transactions and support.
• Oversee in-store programs (Balloons, Birthday parties, events).
• Promote Loyalty Rewards and protection plans to customers.
• Support Knit & Sew Shop operations and Cut Bar experience.
• Oversee BOPIS and Same Day Delivery for omni-channel service.
• Train and develop team through structured onboarding and coaching.
