Job summary

The Michaels Companies, Inc. is seeking a Sales Manager for our Bloomingdale, IL location. You will lead front-end and service operations, champion exceptional customer experiences, and drive key sales and service KPIs through coaching and hands-on leadership.

Responsibilities include SOP adherence, policy execution, POS and Self-Checkout proficiency, and overseeing programs like Balloons, Loyalty, and the Knit & Sew Shop. Night/weekend shifts and a fast-paced environment are expected.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.
• Ability to lead front-end and service operations to achieve KPIs.
• Strong coaching and customer-experience focus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and model selling behaviors to drive conversion and satisfaction.
• Provide MOD coverage and maintain service standards and operations.
• Ensure accurate use of POS and Self-Checkout; support transactions.
• Oversee in-store programs (Balloons, Loyalty, MCC/Extend) and events.
• Train and develop team members across departments; maintain asset protection.
