Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. is seeking a Sales Manager for the CHI-HILLSIDE, IL area. You will lead front-end and service operations, drive sales, and coach a high-performing team to deliver a best-in-class customer experience.

You will oversee POS, Self-Checkout, and store programs, participate in loyalty initiatives, and ensure strong omni-channel execution including BOPIS and Same Day Delivery. Candidates need 3+ years of retail leadership experience.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead adherence to SOPs and Company programs; ensure compliance with policies and standards.
• Model and coach Customer Experience and ART of Selling to improve conversion and satisfaction.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage and maintain floor leadership and service standards.
• Ensure effective use of POS and Self-Checkout systems for smooth transactions.
• Oversee balloons, birthday party operations, and in-store programs/events.
• Promote and enroll customers in the Loyalty Rewards Program to drive retention.
• Drive sales and omni-channel service including BOPIS and Same Day Delivery.
• Train, coach, and develop team through structured onboarding and ongoing skill-building.
