Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. is seeking a Sales Manager for our CHI-CHICAGO/Bucktown, IL location. You will lead store operations, coach the team to deliver outstanding customer experiences, and drive sales performance through strong coaching and daily execution.

You will oversee front-end operations, POS systems, loyalty programs, and service standards while ensuring adherence to SOPs and company programs. This role requires leadership presence and a focus on safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead front-end and service operations, ensuring selling behaviors and brand standards.
• Coach team to drive customer experience and conversion.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage and maintain floor leadership.
• Oversee POS and Self-Checkout usage for smooth transactions.
• Promote loyalty programs and protection plans to customers.
• Drive omni-channel fulfillment including BOPIS and Same Day Delivery.
• Train and develop team across departments and uphold asset protection.
