Michaels is seeking a Sales Manager for the CHI-MCHENRY, IL store to lead a high-performing selling culture, drive sales results, and deliver an engaging customer experience. The role oversees front-end/service operations, SOP adherence, and day-to-day execution across multiple departments.

The position emphasizes coaching, KPI achievement, and effective leadership to maintain brand standards, operational efficiency, and strong customer satisfaction. Night/weekend shifts are included.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead front-end and service operations to ensure consistent selling behaviors and brand standards.
• Coach teams on customer-focused selling and ART of Selling behaviors to drive conversion and satisfaction.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage, maintaining floor leadership and operational continuity.
• Ensure accurate and efficient use of POS and Self-Checkout systems for smooth transactions.
• Promote and enroll customers in the Michaels Loyalty Rewards Program to drive retention.
• Oversee in-store programs and events (Balloons, Knit & Sew Shop, Cut Bar) and drive omni-channel execution.
