Michaels Stores KC-STATELINE, MO is seeking a Sales Manager to lead a high-performing selling culture and drive strong sales results while delivering an engaging customer experience. The role oversees front-end and service operations, ensuring consistent execution of selling behaviors, brand standards, and operational expectations.

You will coach team members, provide Manager-on-Duty coverage, and maintain POS usage, while supporting omni-channel service including BOPIS and Same Day Delivery.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead selling culture across the store, driving strong sales results and an engaging customer experience.
• Oversee front-end and service operations, ensuring consistent execution of selling behaviors, brand standards and operational expectations.
• Coach and develop team members through structured onboarding and ongoing skill-building.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage to maintain floor leadership and service standards.
• Ensure accurate use of POS and Self-Checkout systems and support omni-channel service (BOPIS and Same Day Delivery).
• Promote loyalty programs and drive retention through consistent execution.
• Support protection plans and extended services and oversee Knit & Sew Shop and related experiences.
• Partner in Asset Protection and maintain store compliance with SOPs and company programs.
