Job summary

CubeSmart is seeking a Store Operations Associate to manage customer interactions and daily property tasks across our Newark district. You will build relationships, show units, process payments, and support leasing while maintaining a clean, safe facility.

Ideal candidates are friendly, organized, able to work Saturdays, and comfortable with MS Office and POS systems. This role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and consistent customer care at a busy self-storage location.

Qualifications

• Must have a positive, outgoing personality and passion for helping people.
• Experience delivering high-quality customer service to a diverse customer base.
• Strong operational focus with a self-driven mindset.
• Basic computer skills including MS Office.
• Must be able to work Saturdays.
• Valid driver’s license, access to a vehicle, and up-to-date insurance are required.
• Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• Some locations may require Sunday hours.

Responsibilities

• Developing customer relationships by identifying self-storage needs and providing appropriate solutions while delivering a standout customer experience.
• Interacting face to face with customers, providing excellent service, and building rapport.
• Meeting monthly sales goals and metrics.
• Walking the property to perform daily operational tasks including lock checks and showing units to customers.
• Renting self-storage units, selling store merchandise, managing the leasing process, accepting payments via POS, completing daily bank deposits, and making courtesy calls regarding late payments.
