Job summary

The Home Depot in Tulsa, OK is seeking an Operations Assistant Store Manager in Training (OASM-IT). This structured program provides hands-on experience in store operations, customer service, and profitability, with mentorship and leadership development.

During the up-to-6-week training, trainees learn to oversee the Customer Service Desk, Receiving, Tool Rental, Order Fulfillment, and more, preparing to lead by example and support policy adherence.

Qualifications

Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
Minimum education: high school diploma or GED.
Preferred education: bachelor’s degree in a related field.
Minimum years of work experience: 3 years.
Minimum leadership experience: 2+ years.

Responsibilities

50% Training and Preparing for Assistant Manager Position: participate in a structured training program covering operations, customer service, sales, profitability, and policies.
15% Customer Experience: supervise associates and drive customer service; resolve concerns promptly.
15% Sales and Productivity: plan merchandise placement, signing, and inventory integrity.
10% Operations Management: perform opening/closing MOD and uphold SOPs, safety, and process accuracy.
10% Safety: ensure safety and hazmat procedures are followed.
