Job summary

The Home Depot is offering an Operations Assistant Store Manager in Training (OASM-IT) position in the United States. This program combines hands-on experience, mentorship, and leadership development to prepare trainees for future store management roles.

You will learn to oversee Customer Service Desk, Receiving, Tool Rental, Order Fulfillment, and Back Office operations while supporting profitability and policy adherence.

Qualifications

• Must be eighteen years of age or older.
• Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
• Minimum 3 years of work experience; 2+ years of leadership experience.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• 50% Training and Preparing for Assistant Manager Position – structured training covering operations, customer service, sales, profitability, and policies.
• 15% Customer Experience – supervise selling efforts and drive customer service and associate engagement.
• 15% Sales and Productivity – plan merchandise placement and inventory management.
• 10% Operations Management – manage opening/closing and SOPs, ensure safety and shrink reduction.
• 10% Safety – ensure compliance with safety and hazmat procedures.
