Job summary

The Home Depot is seeking an Operations Assistant Store Manager in Training (OASM-IT) to gain hands-on experience across store operations, customer service, and profitability. You will work with the Store Manager and ASMs to develop actionable plans for departments and learn to lead by example during a focused 6-week training.

You will collaborate across Customer Service, Receiving, Tool Rental, Order Fulfillment, and Back Office, while learning to manage staffing, stock, and store performance.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Prior retail or leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a structured training program covering store operations, customer service, sales and policy compliance.
• Supervise associates and model engagement to support service and selling goals.
• Assist with inventory, merchandising, and daily store productivity tasks.
• Support opening/closing procedures and adherence to SOPs and safety standards.
• Uphold safety rules and hazmat procedures at all times.
