Job summary

The Home Depot in the United States seeks an Operations Assistant Store Manager in Training (OASM-IT). This program provides hands-on experience across core store operations under mentorship and leadership development.

During the up-to-6-week training, you will learn Manager on Duty duties, supervise with the Store Manager and ASMs, and develop plans to improve sales, service, safety, inventory, and store presentation while upholding company policies.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
• HS Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a structured training program covering retail store management, including operations, customer service, sales and profitability.
• Learn staffing, scheduling, stock control, and performance management processes.
• Assist in opening/closing manager-on-duty responsibilities and uphold SOPs and safety compliance.
• Support effective customer service and associate engagement to improve sales and store performance.
• Learn merchandising, inventory integrity, and daily store financial operations.
