Job summary

Rack Room Shoes is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in daily operations, ensuring policy compliance and excellent customer service. You will guide staff, handle escalations, and help drive sales while maintaining inventory, merchandising, and loss-prevention standards.

The role requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with attention to store presentation and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in daily store operations and policy compliance.
• Provide leadership and training to staff; step in as acting Manager when needed.
• Oversee cash handling, sales, discounts, refunds, and loyalty processes.
• Manage inventory, pricing, markdowns, and physical inventories.
• Maintain merchandising standards and store presentation, signage, and cleanliness.
• Support payroll/timing, scheduling, and staff development.
• Support loss prevention and protect company assets.
• Ensure a safe and welcoming shopping environment for customers.
