Job summary

Rack Room Shoes is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in daily operations and ensure policy compliance while leading and training store staff. The role requires ensuring a superior customer experience and achieving sales and service goals.

The position emphasizes safety, operations, and loss prevention with hands-on leadership, merchandising, and staff development in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Safety and welfare of employees and customers.
• Create, establish and maintain an excellent customer shopping experience.
• Maintain and reinforce current service level standards.
• Provide service training and leadership to staff.
• Manage customer issues with a sense of urgency and to the satisfaction of our customer.
• All POS terminal transactions in accordance with policy and procedure.
• Sales, Discounts and Refunds.
• Loyalty.
• Open/Closing procedures.
• Inventory control including shipping/receiving, price management, singles, damaged merchandise, and physical inventory.
• Merchandising and visual presentation to company standards.
• Payroll control including scheduling and time/attendance.
• Training and development of direct reports.
• Loss prevention and protection of company assets.
• Develop understanding of day-to-day operations.
