Job summary

Rack Room Shoes seeks an Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in daily operations and policy adherence. You will provide leadership, training, and guidance to staff, especially in the absence of the Store Manager, aiming to exceed sales, service, and operational goals.

You will oversee safety, customer experience, POS procedures, inventory control, merchandising, and payroll-related tasks while maintaining a high standard of visual presentation and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in daily store operations and uphold company policies.
• Provide leadership and training to staff; act in absence of Store Manager.
• Ensure safety of employees and customers and maintain service standards.
• Oversee POS transactions, loyalty, discounts, refunds, and open/close procedures.
• Manage inventory controls, pricing, markdowns, and physical inventory.
• Lead floor merchandising, housekeeping, and promotional signage.
• Assist with payroll scheduling and attendance.
