Job summary

Rack Room Shoes is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in daily operations and drive sales, service, and standards. You will lead staff, train associates, and ensure policy compliance while providing an outstanding customer shopping experience in our store.

In this role you will assist with payroll, inventory control, and visual merchandising, maintaining high standards of store presentation and safety.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in managing day-to-day store operations and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and training to store staff.
• In absence of Store Manager, take total responsibility for all operations and strive to meet sales, service, and operational objectives.
• Maintain an excellent customer shopping experience and reinforce service standards.
• Process all POS transactions in accordance with policy for sales, refunds, loyalty and closing procedures.
• Manage inventory control, shipping/receiving, pricing changes, and physical inventory.
• Oversee merchandising, floor presentation, promotions, and signage.
• Assist with payroll scheduling and time/attendance controls.
• Support loss prevention and protect company assets.
