Rack Room Shoes is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in daily operations and lead staff to provide exceptional customer service. The role emphasizes safety, training, and adherence to company policies while driving sales and operational excellence.

The position requires strong leadership, communication, merchandising aptitude, and the ability to manage POS procedures, inventory, and payroll with integrity. This on-site role offers growth within store operations.

Qualifications

• An approved background check is required.
• Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Proven managerial and organizational abilities.
• Solid visual merchandising skills and attention to store presentation standards.
• Knowledge of footwear, accessories and shoe care is beneficial.
• Basic mathematical skills for POS and inventory tasks.
• Familiarity with corporate and store operations policies and procedures.
• Understanding of maintaining service levels and customer experience.

Responsabilités

• Safety and welfare of employees and customers.
• Deliver excellent customer shopping experience and lead service standards.
• Process POS transactions, discounts and refunds per policy.
• Oversee inventory control, price changes and physical inventories.
• Lead merchandising and visual presentation to company standards.
• Manage scheduling, payroll and attendance within budget.
• Train and develop staff and reinforce operational standards.
• Support loss prevention and asset protection efforts.
