DICK’S Sporting Goods is seeking an Assistant Store Manager of Operations to lead store execution in a fast-paced retail environment, coaching teammates and optimizing processes for an exceptional athlete experience.

You will partner with the Store Manager on staffing plans, merchandising standards, and program execution, while driving continuous improvement and ensuring policies are followed to maintain a safe, welcoming store atmosphere.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–3 years of experience in retail management or customer-facing roles.
• Proven ability to lead and develop teams in a fast-paced store environment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with Store Manager to develop annual growth plans and forecast staffing.
• Directly manages Captains and coaches broader store team for high performance.
• Upholds merchandising standards and drives programs like loyalty, warranty, and enrollment.
• Leads training initiatives and cross-training to elevate athlete experiences.
• Oversees payroll and scheduling to meet budget goals and traffic trends.
• Owns hiring decisions for Captain roles and interviews potential teammates.
• Ensures safety, policy compliance and an inclusive, respectful store environment.
