Job summary

DICK’S Sporting Goods is seeking an Assistant Store Manager of Operations in the United States to lead store execution in a fast-paced retail environment, driving efficiency, accuracy, and a seamless athlete experience. You will coach teammates, optimize processes, and ensure the store runs across front and back-of-house operations.

You’ll hire, train, and develop Captains (Supervisors), manage payroll and scheduling, uphold merchandising standards, and model exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 1-3 years experience.
• 1-3 years of retail management experience (or customer-focused experience).

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with the Store Manager on developing and executing yearly growth plans including forecasting and 90+ day planning.
• Directly manages Captains (Supervisors) and develops broader store team through coaching and accountability.
• Upholds merchandising and presentation standards and promotes company programs to enhance the athlete experience.
• Leads training initiatives and ensures teammates are trained to deliver elevated athlete experiences.
• Manages payroll and staff scheduling to align with budget goals and traffic trends.
• Handles hiring decisions for Captain (Supervisor) and hourly staff with guidance from the Store Manager and Captain team.
