Job summary

Rack Room Shoes is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in all day-to-day operations, ensuring policy compliance and strong leadership of staff. You will train and guide associates, address customer issues with urgency, maintain visual merchandising standards, and supervise POS transactions, pricing, and store cleanliness.

Responsibilities also include scheduling, inventory control, loss prevention, and upholding performance targets while delivering an excellent shopping

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills in verbal and written form.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and welfare of employees and customers.
• Create and maintain an excellent customer shopping experience.
• Oversee POS transactions, sales, discounts, refunds, and loyalty.
• Manage inventory control including shipping/receiving, pricing, markdowns, and physical inventories.
• Maintain merchandising standards and visual presentation across the floor.
• Assist in scheduling and payroll adherence; manage time and attendance.
• Provide training and development for staff; reinforce operational standards.
• Assist the Store Manager and, in their absence, assume full responsibility for store operations.
