Job summary

Rack Room Shoes in Milpitas, CA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in daily operations and ensure adherence to company policies. This role provides leadership, training and guidance to staff, stepping in for the Store Manager as needed to maintain sales and service goals.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication, organizational and merchandising skills, with a focus on customer satisfaction, loss prevention and teamwork in a fast-paced retail

Qualifications

• Safety and welfare of employees and customers.
• Create and maintain an excellent customer shopping experience; provide service training and leadership to staff; manage customer issues with urgency.
• All POS terminal transactions per policy; handling Sales, Discounts and Returns.
• Inventory control including shipping/receiving, price changes and markdowns.
• Merchandising and visual presentation to company standards.
• Payroll control including scheduling and attendance.
• Training and development of direct reports; adherence to policies and procedures.
• Loss prevention responsibilities to protect company assets.
• Understand management of day-to-day operations.

• Implement loss prevention policies and protect assets.
